Refund Policy

When a refund is available

If a technical problem prevents Margin from working as described on a supported Mac and we cannot reasonably resolve it, we will provide a refund. This includes persistent problems that prevent you from accessing the advertised features you purchased.

We do not offer change-of-mind refunds simply because you no longer need the app or prefer a different workflow, unless applicable law or the seller’s terms give you that right. The direct-download app includes a 14-day trial so you can try it with your own PDFs before purchasing.

How to request help or a refund

Email [email protected] with your order reference or purchase email address, a description of the problem, and your Mac model, macOS version, and Margin version. This helps us find your purchase and understand the issue.

We may ask for reasonable troubleshooting details or suggest a fix. You do not need to send payment card details, your full license key, or private textbook or note content. Troubleshooting will not restrict or delay a refund or other remedy you are entitled to by law.

Who processes the refund

The seller identified on your receipt processes refunds for your order. If you purchased through Paddle, you can also request a refund through Paddle’s buyer support. Paddle’s Refund Policy and Buyer Terms apply to those orders. If you purchased through another provider, use the support details on that receipt.

The seller may provide additional refund rights or approve a refund under its own policies. This page does not limit those rights. Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method; processing and bank posting times vary.

After a refund, the corresponding paid license may be deactivated. A refund does not delete files stored locally on your Mac.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty, misdescribed, or undelivered digital products and any applicable cancellation or withdrawal rights. If local law gives you a stronger remedy or a different time limit, that law applies.

Using or downloading Margin does not, by itself, waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Any legally valid waiver of a withdrawal right must meet the requirements of the law that applies to your purchase.

About this policy

This policy covers purchases of Margin, developed and operated by Alric Siu. The policy in effect when you purchase applies to that purchase, together with your statutory rights and the seller’s terms. Our Terms of Service explain the app license.
